Biography

Research Notes

The Lincolnshire Visitation of 1562-4 gave his name as Sir Robert Gainsby, Kt.; it also lists the family name of Irby as Carby, so it appears that changes were made to correct both of these in future editions. [1]

The Lincolnshire Pedigrees list his as *Sir John Gainsby, Knt. [2]
