Biography
Burton Gaines is a part of US Black heritage.
Burton was born in 1914. He was the son of Eddie Gaines and Blanche Roberts.[1]
Burton was raised by his parents in Fork Union, Fluvanna County, Virginia.[2]
Burton served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class during World War II.
In 1947 Burton married widow Olivia Sanderson Washington in Buckingham County, Virginia. [3]
He was divorced when he passed away in 1956 in Fork Union, Virginia from a gunshot wound. He was buried in the Gravel Hill Community Cemetery in Holmhead, Virginia. [4]
