Biography
Thomas, son of Samuel Horace Futch (b.1818) & Lavina Thompson (1811–1872) Thomas was born in 1838. He passed away in 1865.

Military
Civil War Confederate Sgt., Company D, 25th Georgia Infantry enlisted in the Confederate States Army on 9 August 1861 in Savannah, Georgia. He was mustered as a Private in Company D, 25th Georgia Infantry. He was promoted from Private to Sergeant on 17 May 1862. Thomas was captured near Nashville, Tennessee on 16 December 1864 and arrived at Camp Chase Confederate Prison on 4 January 1865. He died as a prison of war there on 17 May 1865 of diarrhea.
