Alice Loretta Fugina was born on 10 November 1912 in Pincher Creek No. 9, Alberta, Canada. She was the daughter of Frances Joseph Fugina and Anna Cecilia Dugan, both born in the United States of America.

In the 1916 Prairie Provinces Census, Alice, age 3, was living in Fort Macleod, Willow Creek No. 26, Alberta. She was with her parents and three siblings. ^[1]

In the 1926 Prairie Provinces Census, Alice, age 13, was living in Fort Macleod, Alberta. She was with her parents and four siblings. ^[2]

Marriage
In 1930, Alice married George Allan Gilbertson in Lethbridge, Alberta.

In the 1931 Census of Canada, Alice, age 18, was living in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was with her husband George Gilbertson, a farm implements repairman. She was a homemaker. ^[3]

Second marriage
On 12 December 1942, Alice married James Frederick Brook in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Alice's husband James Frederick Brook died on 16 December 1951 in Burnaby, British Columbia. ^[4]

Death
