Biography

Josephine Froelich was born on March 12, 1854 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. She is the daughter of Jacob Froelich and Catharine Oswald, both born in Germany.^[1]

She married August Schellhaw on May 22, 1878 in Evansville.^[2][3] They had two children.

1. Louise Mathilde Schellhaase was born on February 25, 1879 in Evansville.^[4]
2. Carl August Schellhase was born on February 28, 1881 in Evansville.^[5]

Her husband died on October 3, 1880 in Evansville, before their youngest child was born.

Josephine passed away on March 26, 1903 in Evansville. She is buried n the Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.^[6][7][8][9]
