Biography
Bursheba was born in 1816.
Excerpt from her Find A Grave Memorial
- "After the assassination of her husband by federal troops in July of 1862, Bursheba was burned out of her family home in Cass County, Missouri. Later that year three of her daughters were imprisoned in Kansas City, Missouri the building they were being held in collapsed causing the death of several females, two of which were her own nieces and the permanent injury to her own three daughters."
Research Notes
Death date: Some researchers say she died 6 June 1870 but other says 6 October 1870. The death year 1870 was inscribed on her tombstone, but her Find A Grave memorial shows the date as 6 October 1870.
