Biography

Sarah (Freeborn) Browning immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Birth & Baptism

Christened 2 Oct 1631 St Mary Maldon, Essex, England Sarah, daughter of William Freeborn and wife Mary.[1]

Emigration

30 April 1634 Sarah aged 2 enrolled at Ipswich with her parents William Freeborn aged 40 and Mary aged 30 and sister Mary aged 7 for passage to New England.[1]

Marriage

By 2 Jan 1652 she married Nathaniel Browning; on that date she was deeded land from her father as wife of Nathaniel Browning (GM citing Austin's Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island page 262)[1]

I've updated the image of her christening at Maldon, Essex. Birth place should be edited. Gm, the parish register both indicate she was born Maldon, the family went to Ipswich to emigrate.
