William was born in 1837. William enlisted in Company I of the 103rd OVI on 14 Aug 1862 as a Private. He was promoted to Corporal on 12 Jan 1863 and then promoted to Sergeant on 1 Aug 1864. William mustered out with the company on 12 Jun 1865. He passed away in 1871.
