Biography

Harold was born in 1883. He is the son of Augustus Francis and Emily Unwin. ^[1]

In 1891, he is at home in Tiverton with his family.^[2]

In 1901, he is lodging in the home of a Mrs Halse in Castletown Road, Fulham.^[3]

In 1911 he was back in Tiverton with his family and described as "retired" (he is only 27!). ^[4]

In 1913, he married Ethel Fletcher in St George, Hanover Square.^[5]

He was awarded the MBE in 1924 for services as the Chief Clark in the Secretariat, Northern Rhodesia.^[6]

He died in 1940 in Bromley, Kent and is buried in Tiverton Cemetery.^[7][8]
