Shirley June Olive Francis was born on April 23, 1935 in Palmerston North, Wellington, New Zealand, daughter of Charles Reginald Francis (1910–1976) and Dorothy Olive Stuart (1911–1994).[1]
Shirley (19) married Ian Stanley Hansen (25) (born on August 21, 1928 in Masterton, New Zealand) on July 9, 1954 in Auckland, New Zealand. They had five children.
Shirley died on September 9, 2022 in New Zealand, aged 87.[2]
