hi Susan, I forget which profile you are referring to in your message to me. When somebody gets all sorts of mispronounciations and variations on their name, it's best to mention them in bio, last name at birth is what it is, but people get called all sorts of things, there was no such thing as ID papers then. :D
Hi Susan - If you see profiles that need merging, feel free to propose a merge at the bottom of the profile. The merge of Harlan-118 into Harlan-66 has already gone through. That's why you're not seeing it in your list.
Susan. so good to hear we are related. Much more work to be done. in a few weeks we will be doing DNA from my deceased brothers son. can't wait for results. any suggestions on the best place to use? I want to be able to connect DNA back to my Wikitree pages.
In regard to your recent note about the father of John Ellis (Ellis-6954). As you see, this John's parents were Thomas Ellis and Ann Gerrad/Jarrad. Found in Quaker Records. The only research I've done on Ellis line is when they connect to Gerrad family.
Hi Susan. Have you looked into a merge for your John Ellis? We have seen a ton of progress on the existing profiles. I noticed that you mentioned a conflict due to birth date & location, but marriage data was the same. By your dates, he would have been married at age 12 or 13. I think we can assume that the birth date is wrong. Do you have a source? I love solving mysteries!
Thank you very much for your note re Ellis 1603 and Ellis 557! Although the two wives report the same parents, the first names are different for both the wives and the husbands (maybe brothers who married sisters?) I think I may have initially read the two men's names as identical (Wiki-ing too late at night). :-) I've changed them into unmerged matches. Thank you again. My best,
