Biography
Ada was born in 1862. She was the daughter of Henry Fountain and Elizabeth Tillcock. Her birth was registered in the district of St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. [1]
The census of 1871 shows Ada, aged 8, living with her family in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. Her birthplace is also listed as St Albans. [2]
In 1881 the family was living on Old London Road, St Albans. Ada was 18 and was employed as a silk winder. [3]
The marriage between Thomas Hughes and Ada Fountain was registered in 1889 in the district of Dursley, which is split between Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. [4]
She passed away in 1943.
