Marge, I am not sure if you are even home yet but I had such a wonderful time seeing you. There are LOTS & LOTS of land records of the transactions in the index to the Erie County Land Transactions. Simon clearly came to Buffalo ready to buy! I am working on sorting his purchases first.

Hi Margie,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them, so don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. You can reply to this comment or send me a private message.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

P.P.S. Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.

Welcome Margie :-)

I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing

I am a descendent of this family , Joseph Simon Nicholas Fougeron (1787 - 1858) and know two of the people who have provided a lot of information. I don't know how to move forward from "just looking around" on this tree. I have information to share!

Hi Margie,

Thank you for your message. To be able to add more names you will need to volunteer, you can do this from your Navigation page, just add tags showing your genealogical interests e.g. surnames you are researching, and in the comments box by them add the location/relationship to you, then click on the green box that says "Save tags and volunteer" and we will then be able to confirm you as a member.

Volunteering means you will help us achieve our goal of joining all individual family trees into one global family tree.

I hope this helps, any problems please let me know.

Take care

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter

Thank you! I have added a tag. Is personal information, ie parents, DOB, etc. seen by other family members or "public"?

Hi Margie,

Your tags can be seen by anyone, but any profiles you create for people who are still living and are not active on WT will have their privacy level automatically set to "unlisted" status, so the only people who will be able to see their information will be you and anyone you add to a trusted list for that profile. Each profile has their own trusted list.

Take care Karen
