Biography

John Fogg, son of Seth Fogg Jr, was baptized on 17 March 1717 in Hampton, New Hampshire.^[1]).

He married Bethia Dearborn, daughter of Jonathan Dearborn and Hannah Tuck. They had at least two children;

1. Seth Fogg, b. unkn; d. abt 1831.^[2]
2. Miriam Fogg, b. 28 Mar 1757; d. 20 Jun 1849. ^[3]

John married 2nd, Shuah and had at least two more children with her. Both daughters must have been born after 1762 since they are both indicated as being under 18 years old at the time of their father's will.^[4]

1. Sarah Fogg, b. aft 1762.
2. Esther Fogg, b. aft 1762.

In his will dated 15 December 1780, John Fogg, late of Exeter, names his second wife Shuah and four of his children; Meriam Louge, Sarah Fogg, Esther Fogg, and Seth Fogg (whom he also names executor). He also mentions his "Servent Scipio" to whom he gave "his full Freedom & Liberty Imediately after my Desease." The will was proved 16 January 1786.^[4]
