Biography
- Edgar Flower managed Flower & Sons Brewery of Stratford (the largest employer in Stratford at the time), from 1892.
- He lived at The Hill, Stratford; in the 1890s. He brought Stratford's medieval grammar school buildings back into a proper state of repair and restoration. See Shakespeare Birthplace Trust site.[1]
- He purchased the Middle Hill estate, Broadway, Worcs., from J.O. Halliwell-Phillipps, in 1878, following the death of Sir Thomas Phillipps, Baronet; chmn Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
