Biography

Her father held the chief canonry of the collegiate church of St. Mary of Bromfield, which he passed to his son-in-law.^[1]

Richard Scrob (Scroop/Scrope)^[2] married (before 1052) the daughter of another French settler, Robert the Deacon (possibly to be identified with Robert fitz Wimarc)^[3]; his (Richard's) sons Osbern and William were adults by 1066. ^[4]
