Biography

Collin Fishwick was born in 1852 and was baptised 18th August 1852 at Marport, Cumberland, England^[1].

He was the son of John Fishwick and Sarah Burns.

His father passed away in 1855^[2].

In 1861 the family lived at Ellenborough, Cumberland ^[3].

Around 1861/2 Collin's mother married John Robson and they went on to have further children - George Robson, Sarah Robson and Edward Robson.

John Robson was a miner and the family lived moved to Prudhoe, which is where they were recorded in the 1871 census^[4]. (note the spelling of his surname in this record is "Feishwick".

Collin sometimes used the name Collin Robson.

In 1875, Collin married his first wife, Elizabeth Cairns^[5].

Elizabeth died in 1894^{[6] [7]}. Collin then married Margaret (though no marriage record has been found). They were the parents of:

Later life

At the time of the 1881 census, Collin, Elizabeth and their baby son John lived at Prudhoe^[8].

At the time of the 1891 census, they were still at Prudhoe^[9].

At the time of the 1901 census, Collin was married to Margaret and lived at Prudhoe^[10].

At the time of the 1911 census his brother John is staying with the family^[11].
