He married Frances Katharine Josepha Broughton on 4 April 1866 while stationed at Portsmouth.
He died at the age of 79, on July 10, 1920.[1] He is buried in St. Andrew Churchyard in Kilverstone, Breckland Borough, Norfolk, England.[2] His will was probated on October 7, 1920.[3]
