Biography
Mary D. Fish was born 2 Dec 1813, the second child of Mercy (Taft) Fish (1794-1878) and Jesse Fish (1786-1861). Her birth datum is inscribed on her grave marker simply as 1814, however the Fish genealogy gives the more precise date. The location of her birth is not certain either; her birth family migrated through central New York State as pioneering settlers of that region.
She married Elam Burton (d. 1871). Their children, as listed in their online memorial sites:
- E. Delos Burton (1836–1906)
- A. H. Burton (1840–1916)
- Jesse Fish Burton (1848–1918)
Mary D. (Fish) Burton died in 1895. Her grave is in Forest Park Cemetery, Camden, Oneida County, New York, USA [1].
