I grew up in Wauchope NSW till I was 7 when my parents moved to Port Macquarie NSW where we stayed till I was 14 and we moved onto a diary farm at John's River NSW that only lasted for 2 years as dad started having Cardiac problems so we moved back to Wauchope.
In 1971 I moved to the Sydney Sanitarium & Hospital, At Wahroonga, New South Wales to undertake my General Nurse training graduating 10 June 1974. I then went to North Ryde Psychiatric Centre (Macquarie Hospital) to take my Psychiatric Nurse training. After I married we live at Wahroonga then Asquith, till we bought our first home at Mount Colah. I followed that with Mental Retardation Nursing at Marsden Hospital, Westmead. Transferring back to Macquarie Hospital where I obtained the position of Charge Nurse. In 1983 we moved to the Central Coast for work where I had a position in The Nurse Education Centre as a Nurse Educator at Gosford Hospital for 2 years. At this time we were living at East Gosford.
I changed employment to Avondale College School of Nursing at Wahroonga where I Lectured for the next 14.5 years whilst still living on the Coast. I did further study at the University of Western Sydney, & Newcastle University. We moved to Glenning Valley to a new house we had built. My employment moved to Peat Island on the Hawkesbury River.
I left there in 1999 after separating from Jan and moved into a Town House I bought at Mardi. Still working at Peat Island. After my divorce I bought my present home at Wadalba.
Employment moved to Aged Care Nursing where I worked as an RN in 2 Nursing Homes. I retired from Nursing on the 26th July 2019 a career spanning 48 years and 4 months.
I have a daughter and 2 grandsons, my son died in August 2023 he was the father of my grandsons..
Now in retirement I have joined the Wyong Family History Group, I help out as Volunteer Research Assistant, this has been great as with a number of health issues this makes me get out of the house, and its the type of research I enjoy, I started my Family Research over 40 yrs ago, but with the Internet and so many genealogy programs now available, it is amazing what you will find. I discovered that I am related to King Charles III in fact we are 16th Cousins 3 times removed threw his mothers ancestral line, on my fathers maternal line I have been able to trace the ancestral line as far back as Ad 940 The Birth of my 29th Great Grandfather Leopold I Margrave of Austria also discovered the Marriage of my 25th Great Aunt to King Vladislaus II of Bohemia, who knows what other gems I may be able to discover in my research?

I think, however, any possible connection will be in England before any of them emigrated, so I will concentrate on finding sources for that end to see if there are any indications that might link your Herefordshire, Berkshire, and County Durham folk to my Wales, Middlesex, New South Wales (Macleay River, Macleay River, Sydney, Hunters Hill, Kempsey, etc) lot. If nothing else, it should prove to be an interesting exercise.
