He was an officer in William III's Cavalry under Schomberg. He fought in the Irish campaign from Boyne to Limerick. After the siege of Limerick he married in 1691. He settled there and was 'paid off' at the Peace of Rhyswick in 1697. He only had one surviving son William, who with a love of books, founded the Little Gidding and a paper factory[1]
Thought to be the son of Nicholas Ferrar of Huntington Ferrar-99 however Nicholas died well before William's supposed birth date. There would seem to be a generation missing Fraser-1401 06:45, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
