In the 12th year of Edward IV [1472] commisioners were appointed to recieve oaths of allegiance from the principle gentryin several counties in England. In the return for Northumberland, "John Fenwick" is among the oaths taking the oath of allegiance; this may refer to this John Fenwick.[4]

Shows his wife as "sister of sir Roger", but Sir Roger's sister Elizabeth married a Swinburne. This in the same book places John Fenwick's wife as Sir Roger's daughter
