In the 12th year of Edward IV [1472] commisioners were appointed to recieve oaths of allegiance from the principle gentryin several counties in England. In the return for Northumberland, "John Fenwick" is among the oaths taking the oath of allegiance; this may refer to this John Fenwick.^[4]
