Biography

daughter of Andrew Jackson Fenner II & Esther Viola Rowe

She was an award winning author of Children's books, winning a Christopher Award for her book, Gorilla Gorilla, honors from the Coretta Scott King Award for The Skates of Uncle Richard, and a runner-up for the Newbery Medal in 1996 for Yolonda's Genius.
