Birth

John was born on July 15, 1881 to John Fenimore and Lydia Holland. [Official records say 1880 or 1881, but he does show up as 10 months old in the 1880 census, taken June 5, 1880, so he was likely born 1879.]^[1][2][3]

Marriages

He first married Ethel Harman on August 11, 1900 in Crawford County, Kansas. ^[14] Up until 1919, they appear in public directories and censuses as married. In the 1920 census, he is listed as married but she is no longer living with him.

He next married Roxanna Wilson, sometime before 1925, when they show up together in the Kansas State Census. They divorce sometime between 1930 and 1939, when Roxanna marries Harry Robinson. He adopted Roxanna's children, Joseph and Mary. ^[15]

Lastly, he married Lelia A. Odle sometime before 1950, when she appears with him on the census.

Death

He passed away on November 28, 1952. ^[13] He is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas. ^[16]
