Biography

Armilda was born in 1840. She was the daughter of Michael Felty and Alpha Newman.

The 1850 Census shows Michael and Alpha (or Alphia) Felty, born in Kentucky, are in White, Illinois, United States. They are farming. Several of their children are with them. Also in the family home is William Felty, age 50, Michael's younger brother.[1]The children present in the family home are:

  1. Thomas Felty, born 27 January 1821, age 29
  2. Eliza Felty, Born 1826, age 25
  3. Isaac Felty, born 1834, age 16
  4. Armildia C. Felty born 1840, age 10

Armilda Felty married several times during her life:

Armilda C. Felty, age 14, married Elijah J. J. Goodwin on April 6, 1854 in White Co. Illinois.[2]

Armilda C. Goodwin married Daniel Hardin August 25, 1865 in White Co. Illinois.[3]

Armilda Felty married James Cotton on Jan. 1, 1873 in White Co. Illinois. [4] (This may be a different Armilda)

Armelda Hardin, age 42, married Moses Lamar, a farmer in Gibson Co. Indiana, age 51, on June 25, 1882 in Mayville, Illinois. It is stated that this is her 3rd marriage. It is Moses second marriage.[5]

She passed away in 1895.[6]
