Leonie (Feldmann) Hartogsohn has Jewish Roots.
Leonie (Feldmann) Hartogsohn died as a result of persecution during the Holocaust.

Leonie was born in spring 1913 in Hamburg to John Feldmann and his wife Rebecca née Nathan.

"Leonie was the fourth child of the Feldmann family and became an accountant. In spring 1933 (Apr 30), she emigrated to the Netherlands with her parents. 21 Jun to 10 Jul 1933, they lived in Snoekgesgracht, Amsterdam. In July 1935, Leonie visited her sister Rose in Hamburg at Grindelberg and even took up a position there. During this time she also paid religious tax to the Jewish community. In April 1936, she returned to Amsterdam.
On May 1st, 1936, she deregistered from Amsterdam to travel to Rotterdam and eight weeks later (25 Jul) returned via Haarlem. From then on to 14 Nov 1940, she was registered at Peperstraat 15 I, where also her brother Egon lived. Leonie Feldmann married Kurt Jakob Hartogsohn in Amsterdam. He was born on June 12, 1913 in Emden/Ostfriesland and had also fled to the Netherlands, where he lived since September 3, 1935. The couple moved to Krome Mijdrechtstraat 16 II.
On 21 Jul 1942, Leonie Hartogsohn was deported to Auschwitz and murdered. Her husband Kurt Jakob Hartogsohn was first deported to Buchenwald concentration camp on February 28, 1941 and then to Mauthausen concentration camp, where he was murdered on January 16, 1942." "Leonie Feldmann war das vierte Kind der Familie. Sie erlernte den Beruf einer Buchhalterin. Leonie wanderte mit ihren Eltern am 30. April 1933 in die Niederlande aus. Sie wohnte in Amsterdam vom 21. Juni bis zum 10. Juli 1933 in der Snoekgesgracht. Im Juli 1935 besuchte Leonie ihre Schwester Rose in Hamburg am Grindelberg und nahm dort eine Stellung an. In der Zeit zahlte sie auch Kultussteuer an die Jüdische Gemeinde. Im April 1936 kehrte sie nach Amsterdam zurück. Am 1. Mai 1936 meldete sie sich wieder in Amsterdam ab, um nach Rotterdam zu fahren. Über Haarlem kam sie am 25. Juli 1936 zurück. Vom 25. Juli 1936 bis zum 14. November 1940 war sie in der Peperstraat 15 I gemeldet, wo auch ihr Bruder Egon wohnte. Leonie Feldmann heiratete in Amsterdam Kurt Jakob Hartogsohn. Er war am 12. Juni 1913 in Emden/Ostfriesland geboren worden und war ebenfalls in die Niederlande geflohen, wo er seit dem 3. September 1935 lebte. Das Paar zog in die Krome Mijdrechtstraat 16 II.
Leonie Hartogsohn wurde am 21. Juli 1942 nach Auschwitz deportiert und ermordet. Ihr Mann Kurt Jakob Hartogsohn wurde am 28. Februar 1941 ins KZ Buchenwald und dann in das KZ Mauthausen deportiert, wo er am 16. Januar 1942 ermordet wurde." (by Peter Steckhan 2017)
