Biography
Henry was the sixth son of Richard Faunt of Hanstown.[1]
He joined the 34th Regiment as an Ensign becoming a Lieutenant on 18th May 1810. He retired to Half Pay in 23rd Regiment in 1817.[2]
Henry married Eleanor, the daughter of Thomas Egan, at St. Mary in Dublin at the end of December 1815.[2] [3] They had:[2]

Cecilia, born 6th April 1828.
The family lived at Hanstown in 1822-3 before moving to Taylorstown.[2] In 1834 the family moved to Upper Canada.[6]
