Australian Star (Sydney, NSW : 1887 - 1909), Wednesday 1 August 1906. [2] DALLEY DIVORCE SUIT ARRANGEMENT COME TO THE MARRIAGE DISSOLVED In Divorce yesterday, Mr. Windeyer who appeared for the petitioner in the suit of William Bede Dalley against Ianthe Pauline Dalley, informed his Honor that an arrangement had been come to between the parties. Mr. Broomfield appeared for Mrs. Dalley, the respondent in the suit, and the petitioner in the alimony application. It was stated that the arrangement was that the decree nisi should be pronounced absolute on the motion of the wife, with costs, and that the application for permanent alimony should be withdrawn, Mrs. Dalley, however, to be allowed the costs of the application. Mr. Broomfield said he had an agreement which they did not wish to make public, but which, was a settlement of all matters between the parties, the suit for custody of the children, and two suits in the Equity Court included. These, he added, were to be dismissed in terms of the agreement. His Honor: You don't wish to file it? Mr. Broomfield: No, your Honor. His Honor said he was very glad to hear the matter had been settled. "All I have to do," added his Honor, "is to make absolute, by consent the decree nisi for the dissolution of the marriage, and to declare the marriage dissolved, the petitioner to pay the wife's costs of the suit, the alimony petition to be withdrawn, the husband to pay the wife's costs of and incidental to that petition."
