After The War

In 1868 Alice was living in New Orleans, or at least she claimed New Orleans as her residence in November on her marriage record.

After the war ended the Farmers left New Orleans for Massachusetts, they obviously lived there until after November 1868 when Alice married Charles Brown.

It is said that they then moved to Illinois. And that Samuel Risley, a patient from New Orleans and Alice corresponded. Her mother, Phebe and Alice moved back to Missouri, where in 1872 Alice and Samuel Risley were married. ^[4]
