Born on the e26th of November 1778, Henry Fane was son of Henry Fane of Fulbeck, and his wife Anne Batson. [1] He was educated at Eton. [1]

General Sir Henry Fane died on the 24th of March 1840 without legitimate issue, on board the "Malabar," off St. Michael's Island in the Azores, on his voyage home from India.
