Margaret was born abt 1819 - 1821in Morebattle, Roxburghshire, Scotland. Her parents were Walter Fairbairn and Agnes / Ann Robertson.^[1]

Margaret Fairbairn, daughter of Walter Fairbairn, married Joseph Broomfield on 11 Sep 1841 in Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^[2][3] Joseph, age 47, died 1868. Registration was in Canongate. ^[4]

Margaret (Fairbairn) Broomfield, age 64, died in 1883. The death was registered in St Andrew (Edinburgh). Mother's maiden name was Robertson.^[1] Her death was 23 Oct 1883 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.

(I have disregarded the Ann given as her mother, substituting Agnes, because of the family knowledge that links dtr Agnes as cousin to Adam Davidson, whose mother was Agnes Fairbairn, Margaret's sister.
