Biography

Karel Louis Evaraert was born on the 14th of October, 1862 in Evergem, Gent, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium. His parents were Petrus Everaert and Justina De La Sorte.

On the 11th of April, 1893 in Menominee, Michigan, USA he married Mary D'Hondt, his first cousin.

Later they moved to Scappoose, Oregon. Together they had at least five children: Petrus, Clifford, Raymond, Beno Edward and Chester F. Evaraert.

He passed away on the 17th of May, 1938 in Scappoose, Oregon.^[1]
