Biography
Edith Maud Etasse, daughter of photographer, Napoeon Pierre Etasse, was baptised at St Helier in Jersey on 17 July 1881. [1][2] By the age of 19 she was working as a shop assistant. [3]
In 1904 Edith was on the mainland at Alverstoke on the south coast of England where she married Jesse Henry Knight, son of Thomas Knight of Sussex and his wife, Sarah Towse.[4] By 1911 she and Jesse had settled on Jersey where they ran a market garden. [5]
