Biography

Catherine was born in Grapevine, Texas on 21 November 1910 to Frank Thomas Estill and Weechie Yates.^[1] She was a librarian until she married Holman Hamilton Terrill in 1960.^[2] Catherine died on 6 December 2002 and is buried at Grapevine Cemetery in Grapevine, Texas.^[3][4]

Obituary

GRAPEVINE — Catherine Estill Terrill, 92, a retired librarian, died Friday, Dec. 6 2002.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Woodland Heights Baptist Church. Doug Riggs will officiate. Burial: Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 pm Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.

Memorials: may be made to VITAS Hospice or to the Grapevine Cemetery Association.

Catherine Estill Terrill was born in Grapevine to Frank and Weechie Yates Estill She was the granddaughter of two Grapevine pioneer families. She was a librarian at Fort Worth Public Library from the early 1930s until her marriage in 1960 to the late Holman H. Terrill of Dallas. Her family interest in their heritage led to membership in many genealogy and historical societies including the DAR and the Grapevine Historical Society. She was devoted to her Sunday School class, her friends and her family. Her brothers, Tom and John Francis Estill and sisters, Nell Gene Giles and Elizabeth Womack, preceded her in death.

Survivors: Nephew, Frank Giles, and wife, Carol, of Fort Worth; nieces Carolyn Womack of Hurst, Julianne Kane and husband, Michael, of North Richland Hills, Sarah Parrish and husband, John, of Georgetown, Ky. and Margaret Brown of Fort Worth; great-nephews and great-nieces, Charles Brown, John Giles, Julie Brown of Fort Worth and Erin and Whitney Kane of North Richland Hills.^[5]
