They lived in Civil District 5, Monroe, Tennessee, United States in 1940[7] and Tennessee, Monroe, Tennessee, United States in 1950.[8]

He died on 30 November 1953, in McMinn, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 78,[9] and was buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee, United States.[10]
