Biography

Anne Eriksdatter was born at Stenhaugen on 26 Nov 1869 to parents Erik Helgesen and Anne Olsdatter. She was baptized at Heidal in Vågå, Oppland on 02 Jan 1870.^[1] She grew up at Stenhaugen.^[2] In 1891, she was living with two sisters in the household of Krestian Fredrik Hagemann.^[3] She immigrated to the United States in 1893.

Anne married Henrik "Henry" Strand in Tacoma on 28 Jun 1902.^[4] Her husband died shortly after the birth of their first child in 1905. In 1910, Anna and her daughter were living in Veniss in Lewis County, Washington.^[5] In 1920, Anne's brother Hans was living with them.^[6] Anna and her daughter moved to Silverton, Oregon where they were living in 1930.^[7] After her daughter married, Anna moved to Bellingham, Washington where she was living by 1935.^[8] She died in Bellingham on 24 Apr 1965^[9] and was buried in Bayview Cemetery.^[10]
