Edward Sydney Endycott was born on 26 Jan 1924 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.^[1]

Edward served in the Australian Army from 2 Jun 1943 to 21 Jun 1946^[1]. He was court martialled on 7 May 1945 for being Absent without Leave for over a month. He was found guilty and sentenced to 1 years detention. As per previous punishments in his record Edward breached his sentence and on 20 Jun 1945 he was sentenced to 6 months of hard labour. ^[2][3]
