Charles Emery was a Freemason and a member of Cleveland Lodge #613, New York.

Charles was born about 1871 in Oswego County, NY. He was the son of Charles Emory and Dora Short. He was a window glass maker, as was his father and maternal grandfather. He remained single and lived in Oswego County most of his life. He was a 50 year member of Cleveland Lodge F & A. M. No. 613. He passed away in 1959 in a hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Emery, 88, of 115 Wood Ave., Syracuse, died Wednesday after a long illness at University Hospital, Syracuse. A native of Cleveland he was a window glass maker. A 50 year member of Cleveland Lodge F & A. M. No. 613, he had resided in Syracuse 50 years. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Frank C. Papathen [Patchen] of Syracuse. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, with the Rev. Kenneth McQuinn officiating. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
