Edna (Embry) Phelps has Appalachian roots, in Kentucky.

Edna Lucille Embry was born on March 5, 1921 in Butler County, Kentucky, United States^[1], daughter of Harrison Embry and Clara Justice.

In the 1930 census Lucille (age 9) was the daughter of Ben H Embry in District 4, Butler, Kentucky.^[2]

Edna (19) married Sherman Phelps (21) (born on October 23, 1918 in Decker, Butler) on July 6, 1940 in Grayson, Carter, Kentucky.^{[3] [4]} They were parents of two known children who are living.

In the 1950 census Lucille (age 29) was the wife of Sherman Phelps in Flagstaff, Coconino, Arizona.^[5]

Edna died on August 2, 2006 in Benson, Cochise, Arizona, United States, aged 85. She was buried in Cochise Gardens of Rest Cemetery.^[6]
