Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Everett Ellis is a part of US Black heritage.

Everett M. Ellis was one of the Tuskegee Airmen.

In 1930 and 1940 Everett was living with his grandparents Matthew and Cristina Ellis.

Everett registered for the draft on 30 June 1942.[1] He gave his closest relative as Henry Ellis.

He enlisted on 23 December 1942[2] and served through 28 January 1946; in 1947 he reenlisted and served until October 1948.[3]

On 11 March 1949 Everett married Edna Junior in Wayne County, Indiana.[4] The record names his parents as Henry Matthew Ellis and Sara Dunnock. He was working in retail sales at the time.

Everett appears to have reenlisted at least one more time; his interment record says he died on 9 February 1954 in active military service in the 20th Air Transport Squadron, A.F.B. Westover.[5][6] He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.[7]

Everett's widow Edna died in 2006; they don't appear to have had surviving children.[8]
