Augusta Maria Elliott was born on 15th May 1855 in Walton, Somerset, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of William Elliott and Sophia unknown. [1]
The family migrated to New South Wales (Australia).
Augusta married John Wyse, a journalist, editor and proprietor of the Pastoral Times, in 1876 in Albury, New South Wales. [2] Initially living in Albury, they settled in Deniliquin, west of Albury, about 1882. They had nine children, losing one in early childhood.
Aged 83 years and having been widowed for 29 years, Augusta passed away on 25th November 1929 at home in Moonga, Springwood, New South Wales. [3]
