Hello, Jim! I am a brand new Wiki-Tree member. How did you come to enter the Gullik Beckjorden-Berta Clemetsdatter family? I looked at your tree and cannot find them.

There is a lot I can add to their profiles and tree, eventually. They are my great-great-grandparents. I am descended through their daughter Caroline and her husband Lawrence Peter/Peter Lawrence Olson. Regards, Larry Olson - Chicago

Hi Jim,

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the Germany Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Hi Debi,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Debi

PS If you have any GEDCOM cleanup to do, there is a new tool that can help. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

I notice that you have not added any green tags to your profile, tags do help you link into the community and to those who have an interest in the same surnames or countries.  You can have up to 20 tags, I would suggest you add your surname

ELLICKSON

Also, consider adding your mother and grandmother's maiden surnames as tags and a country of origin.  Tags become clickable links to others researching those names, or places, that you are interested in. They also control what is included in the family activity emails from WikiTree.  Tags link you to the community sourcing & research options, to add more tags (you can have 20) Tags - Help page on how to use Tags to follow topics of interest How To-Add Tags - Step-by-Step on how to add tags

Have a look and explore  Projects  to see which project might be helpful for your research

Please avoid the use of abbreviations as they can mean different things in different countries, always use the full words
