Biography

William was born in 1787 in Berkshire, the son of Isaac Elkington and Margaret Wooden. He was Christened on 26 Dec 1787 in Wokingham.^[1]

On 25 January 1807, a William Elkington married a Mary Harwood in Camberwell, Surrey, England.^[2]. There are multiple Mary Harwoods born in Surrey about 1787, so more information is required to determine the details of his spouse and mother of his children.

On 6 Jun 1841, the night of the England Census, William was with the Bohling Family (John (about 70), Mary (about 50), Sarah (about 14), and John (about 10)) in Bear Garden, St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey.^[3]

He passed away in St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in the September quarter 1852. ^[4][5]
