Ann Elgee was born on February 1, 1824, in Cumberland Bay, New Brunswick, Canada, her father, John, was 23, and her mother, Phoebe, was 23. She married Thomas John Harrison on April 1, 1851, in New Brunswick, Canada. They had eight children in 19 years. She died on April 16, 1905, in Stanley, New Brunswick, Canada, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried there.
