Biography

Elnathan Eldredge II was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Elnathan was born on 19 Jun 1811 in Dennis, Barnstable, Massachusetts. He was the son of Elnathan Eldredge Jr. (1783-1832) and Jane (Wixom) Eldredge (1784-1863).^[1]

He married Ruth Baker on 14 Sep 1839 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts, on 14 September 1839.^[2]

In 1847, Elnathan, Ruth and their children traveled with the Abraham O. Smoot/George B. Wallace Company in the Mormon migration to Salt Lake City in 1847.^[3][4]

Elnathan served as a Corporal in Captain A. Lytle's company of the Nauvoo Legion in the Utah Indian Wars in February 1850.^[5]

In 1850, the family is found in Salt Lake City, Utah.^[6]

In 1860 the family is in Salt Lake City.^[7]

In 1869, Elnathan served as a missionary.^[8]

In 1870 the family is in Salt Lake City.^[9]

He died on 27 October 1871.^[10] He is buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.^[11]
