Joannes Joseph was born in 1799. He was the son of Johann Valentine Eichenlaub and Maria Anna Doerr. He passed away in 1878.

Research Note

Arrived in the Port of New Orleans on 24 Dec 1846, traveled to Cincinnati, OH where 2 of his brothers had settled and then moved on to Erie, PA. Started a grocery business at 26th and Peach Streets and it ran for 30 years. Opened a hotel opposite the grocery. One of the founders of St. Mary's Church.
