Biography

Wilfrid was born in 1901 in Lincoln, England ^[1][2]. He came to Canada at the age of 8 arriving in Quebec City on May 8, 1909 aboard the Virginian with his family, who were bound for Nanton Alberta. ^[3] They homesteaded at what was to become Orion, Alberta, in the Manyberries area.

John W. Eggleston and Magdelina Raskwich were married in Hillcrest, Alberta in 1928. ^[4]

Wilfrid was Director of Journalism living at 235 Clemow Avenue, Ottawa when he died 13 Jun 1986. His remains were cremated 18 Jun and returned to his wife, Magdalena. ^[5]
