Biography

Francis was born in 1852.

He was the fourth son of Edward Edwards of Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales.^[1] His parents are also recorded as Edward Edwards of the Hand Hotel, Llangollen, and his wife Anne, daughter of John Jones of Chester.^[2]

He was educated at Jesus College, Oxford. He matriculated on 19 October 1872, aged 20, and was awarded a bachelor of arts in 1875.^[1]

Francis died on 10 May 1927 in Radnorshire, Wales and their estate passed probate on 23 July 1927 in London, England.^[3]

Francis married Catherine Davis in 1880 in Dolgelly, Merionethshire.^[4]

He was buried on 14 May 1927 in Knighton, Radnorshire, Wales.^[5]
