My Edwards ancestor (Robert William Edwards .a.ka William Edwards) arrived in New Zealand circa 1835, and had his own whaling station in Hawkes Bay an affidavit says he came from a Ship Building Family in England, after whaling ceased he and his son William Robert Edwards became Carpenters. My Harmon ancestor (Emery Harmon) born 1820 in Maine, USA arrived in New Zealand circa 1838 also a whaler, and my Kenny ancestor (Courtenay William Aylmer Thomas Kenny) was born in Burma 1835, arrived in New Zealand 1856 and became MP for Picton 1860's through to his death in 1907. He was a Captain in the 88th Regt Connaught Rangers seeing action in the Crimean War. The Kenny's lived in India as part of the H.E.I.C.S but had settled in Ballinrobe, Mayo, Ireland late 1600's, descend from Du Quesne family
