Biography
He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1814 entitled to practise as a barrister.
Birth
Robert was born on 3 September 1789. He was the son of Morton Frederick Eden, 1st Baron Henley of Chardstock and Lady Elizabeth Henley.[1]
Education
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
Marriage
He married Harriet Eleonora Peel, daughter of Sir Robert Peel, 1st Bt. and Ellen Yates, on 11 March 1824.
Offices
- He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Fowey between 1826 and 1830.
- He held the office of Master in Chancery between 1826 and 1840.1
- He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Henley of Chardstock, co. Dorset [I., 1799] on 6 December 1830.
Death
He died on 3 February 1841 at age 55.
